She is best known for the award-winning documentary film Maxima. Sosa's work has been characterized for telling international stories about the human condition. Her debut film, Phantasiaman, premiered at the National Talented Youth Film Festival where Sosa earned the 2017 Young Talent Award. Her next film, Maxima, was presented in competition at the 25th Austin Film Festival and was nominated for Best Documentary Film at the festival. HER following PROJECT, Say You Will (2020) won the Special Jury Prize for Documentary Film at the Bushwick Film Festival in New York and won Best Documentary Film at the Seattle Latino Film Festival. Sosa started to write her first feature film, MALAMENTE, which is currently in developing.
